Validate the one or two sided method flag

Purpose:
Tests the given one or two sided method flag for a valid value. Valid values are:
1 = One sided method
2 = Two sided method
Results:
The value of the function is true (1) if the one or two sided method flag is valid. The value of the function is false (0) if the one or two sided method flag is invalid. The variable status will contain the error code.
Error Conditions:
The variable status contains a non zero value upon returning from the function when the input contains an error.
590 = Illegal value for one or two sided method flag
591 = non-defaultable one or two sided method flag
