is_weekend (routine)

Checks if a date in the form month, day, year falls on a weekend

Introduced in release: 1.0
Component: Generic
Purpose: Checks if a given date in the form month, day, year falls on a weekend.

Results: Returns a 1 if the given dates falls on a weekend, or 0 if it falls on a weekday.

Error Conditions: Returned values should be ignored for a non-zero status. See Errors.
