Convert a European format date to an American format date

Purpose:
Takes a European format date (DDMMYY) and converts it into an American format date (MMDDYY).
Results:
The European format date (DDMMYY) is converted into an American format date (MMDDYY) which is returned as the value of the function.
Error Conditions:
No error checking is done.
